Hopefully someone can assist with some solus install errors is have.

First one is

error occured obtaining data from the remote machine check that wmi is enabled on the remote machine and any firewalls are configured to allow wmi traffic.

Firewalls are switched off on the server and the clients.

Second one is

Solus installs on the machine, downloads the update but when says one or more errors occured, gives no further information and i can't find any logs to help.

Try running this in batch file:

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Solus 3 DS" dir=in action=allow protocol=TCP localport=52965

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Solus 3 DS" dir=out action=allow protocol=TCP localport=52965

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Solus 3 Agent" dir=in action=allow protocol=TCP localport=52966

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Solus 3 Agent" dir=out action=allow protocol=TCP localport=52966

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Solus 3 Agent UI" dir=in action=allow protocol=TCP localport=8739

netsh advfirewall firewall add rule name="Solus 3 Agent UI" dir=out action=allow protocol=TCP localport=8739

We had something similar to this, it turned out to be either the credentials being entered without the relevant domain name first or the ip address of the client not corresponding correctly in DNS.

I can ping the computer ip address and dns returns the hostname, and vice versa, I have always prefixed the username with the domain name, my admin credentials that i use for everything, and which will work for other machines no problem. I have just found these lines in the log but the solus status still says error occured obtaining data from the remote machine check that wmi is enabled on the remote machine and any firewalls are configured to allow wmi traffic.
