DalekSec Posted January 29, 2016 Author Posted January 29, 2016 I opened the link, saw more awesome and tempting pictures then closed the page before I got too tempted. I've got other things I should spend my money on (driving lessons and other stuff that goes with being an adult). spend while you can!!
Garacesh Posted January 29, 2016 Posted January 29, 2016 Hero is the most expensive one, not champion! Derp. I was thinking of Warrior xD Nah, I didn't see much use for multiple LED colours, personally. Champion offered everything I wanted.
Garacesh Posted March 12, 2016 Posted March 12, 2016 Mine has arrived! It feels very solidly built, and has some lovely weight to it, given that it's made of metal and all. 1

Arreks Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Well mine arrived yesterday.. and it's beautiful. Extremely high quality and well made. The only part of the entire package that is lower quality is the stand included but I'll be making my own wall mount anyway!

I didn't bother with a stand, mine hangs on a nail on the wall lol
DalekSec Posted May 18, 2016 Author Posted May 18, 2016 My Stand (Now have sonic screwdriver on bottom holder)
Arreks Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Yeah I've got the same stand, it's just a bit of a letdown since it's flimsy plastic compared to a high quality metal hilt! Dark side is best side. 2

Garacesh Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 (edited) Build your own virtual Light saber Home Page . Adsptive Saber Parts . Make your dream lightsaber reality https://saberforge.com/ are now actually selling their Adaptive Saber Parts! Pricing up: Pommel, Handle, Switch (section), Emitter, Blade, Blade Plug, covertech knob, and Plug-and-Play internals, and postage racks up $400-$500. 10% off at the moment with code NEWYEARS17, with free covertech clip, blade plug and stand (orders over $100, $200 and $300 respectively). 10% off does not affect the $60 USPS priority postage fee. Might've put my order in >.> (For a good ballpark figure, with the 10% off, plus not having to buy a plug and clip, my order came to about $410) Looking into selling my Epoch V2 to offset some of the cost, if anyone's interested Edited January 9, 2017 by Garacesh
DalekSec Posted January 9, 2017 Author Posted January 9, 2017 STOP MAKING ME WANT TO BUY THINGS!! I'm 10 days into this paycheck and have't brought anything (bar food obviously) which is a record! Trying to save money to move out otherwise i would be buying a second saber!
Garacesh Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Trying to save money to move out otherwise i would be buying a second saber! I might have broken out the credit card for this one Paying it off is no problem at all, my minimum payment is something like £20pcm but I've set it to pay off £100. I'd just rather pay it off over the course of 4 months than sink the cost all in one go
DalekSec Posted January 9, 2017 Author Posted January 9, 2017 I might have broken out the credit card for this one Paying it off is no problem at all, my minimum payment is something like £20pcm but I've set it to pay off £100. I'd just rather pay it off over the course of 4 months than sink the cost all in one go I don't have a credit card and hopefully never will!
Garacesh Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 I used to be very wary of the idea of credit cards when I was younger (not that I'm inferring your age, just self-reflecting) but I'm a big boy now and I'm able to manage my finances. I know I can pay off £100 a month and not be struggling for money. Realistically I could pay the entire thing off in one go right now, but that would use up all of my disposable income for a month, so I don't want to do that. So the credit card is a good middle ground if you're financially mature enough to handle it properly (again, nothing inferred). I mean, you could buy things part-by-part, but the shipping from the US is probably a flat $60, so that would be adding a lot to your overall cost. Unless you have a friend in the states you can ship the parts via
Arreks Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 Surely you need at least one credit card if you want a somewhat decent credit score? I ended up putting my saber on the wall with some torch mounts I got online, i'll post a picture later. 1
DalekSec Posted January 9, 2017 Author Posted January 9, 2017 I know of several people some in their 50s of managed to get on without a credit card I'm not saying i'll never have one but i'll put it off till i actually need it!

Garacesh Posted January 9, 2017 Posted January 9, 2017 I'd happily bring my Epoch V2 to show you, but doesn't look like I'm going this year If you're ever up Manchester way, give me a shout and we'll see if we can figure something out.
