Looking for laptop with rear VGA Port no bigger than 37x26x4cm

So I'm looking for a replacement laptop to use with the hall projector. It will live on a pull out rack shelf so can't be any bigger than 37x26x4cm and must have VGA output on the back of it (and not the sides). Ideally audio output on the back would be great but can live with it on the sides. About the most interesting thing it will do is run some powerpoints or videos so doesn't need to be anything amazing in terms of specs, budget up to about £300ish.

 

Any suggestions? I have been looking but haven't found an easy way of looking at just laptops that have a rear VGA connection. This means I have had to look at photos of every one which is a bit of a pain.

This doesn't have a CD drive, will it need one? Or could you do with a USB CD drive?

Thanks. Bit more expensive than I was hoping for but might still be an option if I cant find anything else. Lack of CD might actually be an advantage as then the teachers wont keep tilting it to get to the CD drive and break the ports/cables connected in the process. I already have a USB optical drive there so this will force people to use it

 

Was honestly surprised how many laptops seem to have vga ports on the side (or more often none at all now as a lot have switched to hdmi). This is one of them "yeah wont take 5 minute" jobs that has kind of eaten most of the afternoon

Why do manufacturers decide to get rid of the screws for holding the VGA cable in place?! Who wants their VGA cable falling out mid presentation!

That's a really good question which I've always wondered about.

Is it to save 2 grams weight and 2p off production costs?

We get more bent/damaged sockets and cables because of this.

Also one more thing for staff to not plug in properly and call us out to "fix."

I honestly have no idea. Perhaps they think it makes a VGA port more aesthetically pleasing?

 

It's certainly not the most helpful thing they've ever done.

 

On another note, is it worth getting a laptop with a docking station? Then the VGA can be linked up with the dock and you can take the laptop out more easilly if you needed to?

No if anything I need to be adding some chains to it so it is harder for them to take it out If I put a dock in someone would "forget" to put it back then the next person that needs it would complain that it wasn't charged then the third person would come along and break the port on the dock and the laptop by trying to connect them back to front or something weird

What about a laptop with a WiGig dock? The only thing you would have to worry about is powering the laptop.
