squeeky Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Hi Guys, Small issue that has arisen today. We have been given some Paxton door fobs (820-010) in batch from a member of staff. Obviously at some time these had the ID badges attached to them but when people have left someone shredded the ID badges. Is there any way to RFID read these cards on a pc and match them to the shadow card (card that removes from the system) ? The system is not a Net 2 system because it is a standalone door but there must be some correlation between the initial card to batch add them to the door, the banning card and the fob itself. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Squeeky
crc-ict Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Depends what type of Paxton card they are! You might be able to read something from them using an NFC enabled smartphone and suitable app?? It's probably worth speaking to Paxton themselves - their support people are very very helpful and they may be able to suggest something.
squeeky Posted January 6, 2016 Author Posted January 6, 2016 Hi, Thanks for the reply. It turns out Paxton say it just cant be done, I do find this strange because they must use some sort of RFID. I will have to go through the shadow cards for all of the leavers and match the cards back up manually by banning each one until the fobs stop working then once that is done I can re-enable the fobs
MatthewL Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Can you not use a reader swipe it and see which card number it is?
