A little bit worried by the bits that seem set in "civilization" which are giving me bad flashbacks to "Greystoke". Looks like my dream of a true-to-the-novel adaptation is still unrealised though .

LeMarchand Posted March 18, 2016 Posted March 18, 2016 As someone who has read a lot of the original novels (the first few are surprisingly good, but you have to make considerable allowances for the attitudes of the time) I'm starting to feel that this could be promising: they even seem to be doing at least some of the prologue from the first book. That said, (as above) I remember "Greystoke" and I've seen talk that this movie wants to be a "spiritual successor" to that one.
