We have a load of old netbooks (and old HP laptops) gathering dust at one of my schools and I had vague ideas of using them as "internet" machines, preferably with Chrome as the browser (though I gather support for 32 bit Chrome may be on the way out?). Unfortunately they'll need Flash as it will be for KS1 how use a lot of flash-based sites.

I tried CloudReady, but it wouldn't install on the laptops and wouldn't install Flash on the netbooks.

Can anyone recommend a distro that will pretty much just open a browser after switch on?

That's the one I'd tried, but on one model of machine it wouldn't install Flash and on the other it wouldn't install at all.

Sorry, I missed that bit about cloud ready. oops
