Eudora931 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 What free help desk software are you using and how easy has it been to implement / use from an admin and a user perspective ?

featured_spectre Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Spiceworks is great to use, especially as it can be tied in with other services. If I have the budget however, I'll go for netsupport every day of the week. 3
nullensc Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Ost ticket - free, open source with ad integration - running on dedicated Windows Server 2012 with php/mysql (ditched Spiceworks about 2 years ago). 1
timbo343 Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Might have to take a look at osticket. We have catering and site team using spiceworks installs for their ticket/request systems.
Roberto Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 We don't use free helpdesk software here as we've not yet found anything that's up to scratch for our needs, but I'd certainly agree that Spiceworks is worth a look. ManageEngine also have freebie helpdesk software and we use some of their other products and find those to be ok, so they might be worth a try too.
Geoff Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I am using Request Tracker. https://www.bestpractical.com/rt/ There is a demo here you can muck about with. Login
