Hi all,

Not sure if this should be in the windows or networks forum

We are using mandatory profiles here and one of the schools office staff cannot logon at the moment, it keeps logging her on with a local profile.

She get the following error during logon

Windows cannot copy file \\christcollege\netlogon\staffprofile\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\0D2V8P2Z\CA27WP2J.91912&morton=21313132011331,21313132011333,21313132013111,21313132100220,21313132100221,21313132100222,21313132100223,21313132102000,21313132102001&identifier=0 to location C:\Documents and Settings\tmidwinter\Local Settings\Temp\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\0D2V8P2Z\CA27WP2J.91912&morton=21313132011331,21313132011333,21313132013111,21313132100220,21313132100221,21313132100222,21313132100223,21313132102000,21313132102001&identifier=0. Possible causes of this error include network problems or insufficient security rights. If this problem persists, contact your network administrator.

DETAIL - The filename or extension is too long.

I have investigated in the path described and cannot find, local settings\temp\ etc. Let alone the file in question.

Help!!!

On further inspection, this problem seems to be machine specific. We have tried logging on elsewhere and the problem doesn't appear.

However, I was hoping logging on elsewhere sucessfully would clean up the profile, but that is not the case
