shs-ict Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Hi Is it possible to have an app open at logon for any user possibly with admin (root) rights? There are several users on each Mac so I am hoping that I can log in as the admin user and set this up for every user without getting each user to logon. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
Ben-at-work Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 set adminuser to "admin username" set adminpass to "admin password" do shell script "whatever your task is" user name adminuser password adminpass with administrator privileges I used the above AppleScript when I needed user accounts to launch an app/task as an administrator. Export as a run-only app though! 1
