Apologises if this has been address already. We operate a 2 week school timetable and I would like to restrict some students logon times based on this. In AD you can only set logon times for one week. Is there some way / third party of doing this? Thanks for looking.

Hi I have installed a Backup Scheduler app on our Macbooks/Mac Minis as administrator. I would like this app to run at start up or whenever a student logs on. I have found reference on the web to the 'sudo' command but am not sure how to apply it or if this is the correct route to take? Any Help or pointers would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi Is it possible to have an app open at logon for any user possibly with admin (root) rights? There are several users on each Mac so I am hoping that I can log in as the admin user and set this up for every user without getting each user to logon. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi, When we signed up to Apps for Education we started with a new domain. Any emails to our legacy domain, which come through our Exchange Server, are redirected by the server to the new Google accounts. We now need to remove the old Exchange server (it's way past its 'use by' date) but users need to receive any emails that may still be sent to their legacy domain account. If I set up a Domain Alias for the legacy domain will users be able to see emails sent to the legacy domain? There is no need for any send facility. Only staff, not students, are effected by this issue. Any help or pointers will be much appreciated

Yes I agree that's why I just want this one program - GenyMotion an Android emulator - to run as an administrator.

Hi I have a program that I need students to run on our curriculum PCs that requires Administrator permissions. Obviously these machines are fairly well locked down. I have seen articles on the Net about setting up a task in Task Scheduler but that did not seems to work. Has anyone any suggestions/ideas? Thanks

Hi We had v2 of Notify running on a Win 2k3 server with no problem. We made that server redundant and installed v3 on a 'blank' 2k8 R2 server but cannot get it to run. Netsupport have remoted in even our County IT team have talked to Netsupport and tweaked or Smoothwall but to no effect. The console loads OK and sees the server but cannot send messages. It is the same if we try the console on the server! Has anyone else had this or similar problems and found a solution? Cheers

Thanks for that, I should have explained further. Thinking of a panic button (fob) that can be carried around by student, say a with a medical condition, who may be out of lesson e.g. break, lunch?

Hi Just a general query - does anyone know of a 'Panic Button' system that could be linked to the school's Wi-Fi network rather than using some 3rd party system? Thanks
