vikpaw Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Hi Guys, How do you deal with recording attendance for after school clubs? That would depend on the MIS you are using. Some have it built in. Others require a third party add on.
LukeC Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 We use sims.net and would be interested in this info to
vikpaw Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 There are third party add-ins such as CHQ. Some people use marksheets to do it for free, coupled with user defined groups, but reporting on it might be non-standard.
bobsmith Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 does alternative curriculum not allow this in SIMS?
PhilNeal Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Alternative Curriculum allows you to track children that are taken out of their normal lessons. Activity Management is a little more than that.
Schoolcomms Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Hi all. We have a new product specifically designed to help manage clubs. You can manage who is in the club by creating groups in SIMS or Schoolcomms. Then create club sessions, book students onto sessions and print a register. You can also assign a cost to sessions and this will then create an outstanding balance for each student. Parents can go onto our School Gateway smart phone app or website and see what sessions their child is on and pay off their balance. *Very* soon parents will be able to book sessions on there as well. If there is a charge for the sessions they book then it will then automatically charge their account. The product is developing fast and it's a new area for us so we'd love to hear what else you would like to do in the clubs space. Hope this helps, if you need any more info you are best to give us a call, or you can PM me.
