Some pupils in our school decided to damage an ActivBoard and there is now a fairly deep dent in the surface of the board. The board is now spiking horrendously and nothing will resolve the issue. Firmware is as up-to-date as possible, connected directly to the board with a 1m cable, updated all drivers etc. Can you confirm that the damage caused to the board would cause the board to act in this manner? If the internal windings have become damaged, then the magnetic matrix will not be working correctly, meaning the board thinks the pen is being pressed all over the surface. I would recommend that a new board be purchased, but consider looking at your insurance policy to see if this is covered. Thanks

However trying to find a replacement PRM-AB2-01 board is not easy. Anyone know any good suppliers? Its on a riser unit so its only the board I'm after.
