Afternoon all Urgent request for information

 

I know lighting is not our bag. but if anyone can help it would be appreciated.

 

My site manager has asked if any school out there has came across this company offering LED retrofit Lighting. And if so have you used them and if so have you had any problems with the retrofit lights.

I'm guessing you have them in and its not great? I haven;t used them but had experience of a firm fitting Chalmore stuff for T5 and it was awful didn't work and was very badly fitted and then in the end we got the usual sparkies out and they said we could have done same work for half the cost and used better kit which tbh they would have.

 

I would always suggest talking to your local sparkie about these schemes as they may actually be able to offer the same or better or an opinion especially if they are a decent firm

+1 that. We've just had our hall lighting renewed and used a decent local AV company for the kit and setups and our local electricians to do the mains rewire. They've worked here before so know the setup and did a great job. Saved £600 as the original cabling was still to spec.

We found this AV firm by asking other schools for recommendations.

Don't appear to exist as a proper company, on companies house website so I would avoid. One is a dormant company with no finances, the other is a Chinese restaurant.
