Pretty impressive technology for the takeoff 42 years ago yesterday (Dec. 14) in 1972, although it took three tries to get the technique right.

 

As the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum explains in a 2011 blog post, the camera was available on Apollos 15, 16 and 17. The television camera communicated from Earth using a high-gain antenna on the rover, but there was a slight time delay for the radio waves to travel (a couple of seconds) between the Earth and the Moon...

I don't like it. Can't Aldi come up with their own ideas! The whole point of the John Lewis Advert was aimed at the charity Age UK trying to encourage the younger generation to think of the lonely older generation - this just takes the biscuit out of the whole meaning to what is a very clever advert.

 

I'm biased though because I hate Aldi and the way they do business. The way they treat their staff and customers is appalling and personally I think it's only a matter of time before they get investigated by the likes of Watchdog or some other show.

It's good they bought that in for the staff don't get me wrong but if you knew from first hand experience what it was like to work for Aldi and some of the stupid policies, unhygienic back rooms and the huge list of unrealistic tasks they want you to do... Ever had bad vegetables or fruit from Aldi? My mum does every time she goes and there's a reason as to why all their produce is like that trust me and half of the food you wouldn't put in your mouth after you find out it's half the time all over the floor.

 

I also worked for M&S at one stage and my god the difference to how they treated staff was huge and was such a nicer atmosphere. Plus I was paid £7.40 by M&S per hour where as Aldi I was getting around £6.10 at the time. I believe that shops such as M&S still pay more out to staff then Aldi and invest heavily on staff training, customer service and benefits for their staff.

You cant compare M&S to Aldi!!! Its like comparing Poundland to John Lewis!! Of course premium stores will have better working conditions, the ratio of staff to customers is waaay better in premium stores for starters

 

Stores like Aldi vary store to store, my local Asda sounds like your Aldi, you get nearly/expired food, let you go for other store and its fine
