New user denied access- permission prob?

Well i'm having a really odd problem with all the new users i've been adding since i upgraded to R2 and the new version of Ranger.

 

There was a small problem with Ranger giving out the wrong profiles but thats now been solved.

 

The problem i am getting is new users are not allowed to save to their home space or profiles, just getting access denied contact admin. This is really odd as i've been through there permissions and matched them against an older users and they match but they still are not allowed to save to their space.

 

Anyone got any ideas, and i dont mean the sort of comment about binning ranger lol

Have you checked the share permissions - we had this and tracked it down to 'everyone' only having read access to the share on the server where the home folders are stored - OK for existing users but new users weren't allowed to create a home folder.

Yep checked the share permissions and everyone has full access so that shouldn't be causing a problem.

Check their group membership very carefully and see if theres a deny permission somewhere overiding the allow.

I have again been playing with this and found out that if i create everything manually through AD and windows then all is fine, so will be doing that until Ranger come back with a reason to it lol.
