Quackers Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 What are other schools using for grade and level assessment software? Our SLT are currently looking at what options are out there, so far they have looked at 4 Matrix ( Welcome | 4Matrix Online ) , there must be more...
Toffeeblue Posted October 23, 2015 Posted October 23, 2015 (edited) You have DataSec and SISRA which are both very good but not the cheapest. We use 4Matrix and find it the best value. After having used all three pieces of software, I can definitely recommend 4Matrix as the easiest to use and excellent value. IMHO Edited October 23, 2015 by Toffeeblue 1
Steve21 Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 We used to use SISRA but moved away to 4Matrix (Think it was mainly due to an issue with 6th formers) There's also Discover built into SIMS remember if you only want basic data Steve

Steve21 Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 I thought 4matrix only covers ks3 and ks4 data? Think it's a new thing they're doing: http://www.4matrix.com/help/KS5.pdf That was my understanding why they chose to move across, but guess it could be a few things. Don't really touch that side of things Steve
jslate1980 Posted October 24, 2015 Posted October 24, 2015 That's good news, I will have some happy SMT if that's right :-)
NotSoFast Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 I went with 4Matrix just before summer. It's been a revelation and well worth the money. They do now do KS5 and the KS3 solution is coming this term. I don't have experience of the competition, but I'm happy to recommend 4Matrix. One downside (for some) is that it's not web-based, so harder to set up access from home.
data_guy Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 4matrix and SISRA are two good choices. We went with SISRA but I really liked the 4 matrix interface. We did have Dataset for three years. We don't have it now and started to run SISRA before the Dataset contracted ended. If thinking about it I would consider very carefully.
