Looking at Office 365 and move away from onsite exchange, and was looking at these links, what is everyone on, Education 365 which I take it is free. Office keeps a backup of deleted mail for 30 days, does anyone use any 3rd party software on cloud based tool to keep them for longer?

Are you on Office 365 Education?

We use a journaling account to capture all mail and then archive it off locally at regular intervals.

How many staff and students do you have?

Any limits on it that have been flagged up with end users??

We use the Office 365 free version for education. Although we migrated from an LEA based system rather than an onsite exchange.

@clockend25 - how do you set that up? Sounds interesting

About 1000 students and 150 staff. No problems really, you can configure data retention policies to make the default periods a little longer. You get 50Gb inbox space per user (plus I think the same again for an archive area). You get 1Tb per user of OneDrive storage plus Office 365 (Word, Excel etc) for free to install on your home machines.

Well worth the money (HAH!! :))
