Ok so I'm on a web chat session with Apple due to a faulty iPad.

"Kay" is coming out with some really great lines. I might start using them when I provide support to teachers:

Me: Question about shipping iPad to repair centre.

Kay: That is a great question and I would be more than happy to get that information for you.

Kay: I am very sorry to hear about your iPad. I would be interested in getting it repaired as well, if I were you… considering how often I use mine.

This is great entertainment for an otherwise dull Tuesday morning!

Ya they just select pre-written responses 90% of the time (from experience).

It does make me wonder who actually comes up with the responses though..

I like that! We'd gone a bit off-script so Kay's responses became a bit less humorous.

Managed to lose Kay somehow ('Temporary system issue' apparently- I think Kay was actually offended by my carrier-pigeon joke!). Now connected with "Wendy" so we'll see what crackers she comes out with.

Had an Apple Engineer on the other day.

Running some diagnostics, I opened up a terminal session.

AE: Soon have this Bashed out

GD: Oh yes we Shell.

AE: hopefully there will be no Awk-ward wait

GD: The less Sed about that the better.

AE: It will be good to get a Finger on the problem.

GD: Man, we could go all day like this

AE: well, we had better Halt before we Kill the flow.

Not quite waving chickens ... but good fun.
