saving passwords in ie for users with no roaming profile

We have been asked by staff to allow them to be able to save website passwords if given the option.

We used to have roaming profiles so this info roamed and was stored in app data I think.

 

We now use desktop redirection.

 

We don't redirect app data as I read that it doesn't work properly.

 

Is there any other way to allow them to store this info?

I know with Google Chrome there is a policy of "Set User Data Directory" which I often set to a folder within the user's home/documents folder. Is there an equivalent for IE?
