kennysarmy Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Hi Periodically I will take our base Windows 7 WIM image and update it with the latest MS updates to make rolling it out quicker. I did this last month and for the majority of fresh images it is only picking up one important update. We've just imaged a few PC's in the office and two are now picking up 50+ new updates and two are still showing hardly any.... How can this be?
Oaktech Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 No idea. Mine do that. 2 laptops imaged simultaneously with all available updates up to July inserted into the image, set to check automatically from wsus. Left myself logged into them and locked over night so I get messages about updates. Both of them find updates at 0730 as they are supposed to to, one of them says 72 updates, one of them says 12. WTAF!
unixman_again Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 We see the same - I have no idea as to why.
Steve21 Posted October 7, 2015 Posted October 7, 2015 Sometimes it depends on what order they decide to install in, as some are prerequisites for others and they don't show up until you have the original, but hey this is Microsoft remember! Steve
