Decimas6 Posted September 30, 2015 Posted September 30, 2015 We have some new iPads that have been updated to iOS9 and we're having an issue logging into the Apple accounts made for them. Connecting outside the school network there is no problem signing in. But in the school the error "Verification failed: There was an error connecting to the Apple ID server" is coming up. They have internet access, it is literally just logging in to the Apple accounts. Is anyone else having this problem with iOS9, or is it more likely a problem with our proxy provider? There are version 5 and 8 iPad's also in the school logging in to the Apple ID's completely fine.
Tammie Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 I had this this morning - I restarted the iPad, took it off the wifi and rejoined and then it worked. That might be total co-incidence, but worth a try!
localzuk Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 Any chance of looking at proxy logs to see if anything is being blocked?

TheGirlInIT Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Does anyone know the server address for the Apple ID Server? We're having same issues and recently we updated our Smoothwall Filtering. Hoping it's something that we can easily fix.
tomo1095 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 We had this exact same issue. It turned out to be a filtering issue with smoothwall. In the end we made sure we put proxy settings in on the ipads (previously used transparent proxy fine) and made sure apple.com and icloud.com where in the exceptions category and it seems to work fine.
