Hi there. Was wondering if you network managers/tech people could shed any light or offer any suggestions on my most frustrating problem: I have Admin rights for my school's Moodle site, hosted with CLEO. Over the Christmas hols I had huge difficulties getting onto it at home - it wouldn't load up; images were missing; it wouldn't let me edit/upload etc. Assumed it was the same for everyone but on returning found it's just me! At school all week I've been able to access it fine - come home, and huge problems again. FF is a tiny bit better than IE but not much. I'm on BT Broadband, no problem with speed and any other sites at all - any suggestions? I've refreshed, cleared out cookies, tried it as a 'trusted site - everything I can think of..no joy. I have heard, apparently, that some pupils have occasionally had the same issue - can't get on it whatever they try - but that doesn't really help! Tried just now - can log on but can't upload.Sometimes I can't even turn on editing. All suggestions welcomed :)

I've pm'd you with an account to try out on one of my CLEO ones.

See if it makes any difference.

Simon

PS I've noticed images/icons missing next to input boxes sometimes but its nver caused me enough of a problem to report it so far.

Are you sure it's just you and not everyone else when at home? We host moodle in house as we have a pretty quick connection, can only say I had the exact same problem when I had the default gateway set wrong on the moodle box :o

just me - we did an experiment the other eve - handful of us agreed to go on together - I couldn't; they could. :( I have tried with SimpleSi's site - worked fine on his - went back to ours - no joy.. can get it , but when I try to upload it just freezes on me Edited by secretlife

So is that not pointing towards something not quite right with your particular CLEO moodle then?

Maybe something up with the server your is hosted on?

Have you tried accessing it with a different account from home, or using your account at someone elses house? You may be able to identify if it is your account playing up, or your moodle site.

logging myself in with a different username/password .... logging in on three different pcs/laptops - I haven't tried using a different pc in someone else's house - sort of embarrasssed to ask my neighbour that ! I also tried logmein at school today but it said my pc at home was either offline (which it never is) or else logmein was disabled on the computer I was using at school (might that be the case? Never had time to ask)
