Partnership Assistant Systems Engineer – The Howard Partnership Trust

S6 £20,424 - £23,436pa

36 hours per week/52 weeks per year

Based at Howard of Effingham School

 

We require an enthusiastic Assistant Systems Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of the ICT systems. An ability and willingness to solve practical problems is essential. Reporting into the Partnership ICT Services Department you will provide technical and systems support across The Howard Partnership Trust.

Partnership Assistant Systems Engineers are required to:

• Be readily available to answer the phone and respond to requests to our staff and clients in a professional and efficient manner

• To provide 2nd and 3rd line support, troubleshooting, diagnostics and provide technical fixes

• Assist in managing and developing the school’s internal systems, such as the VLE (Frog) & SIMS.Net

• Maintain hardware up to supported standards and optimum performance

• To support a variety of custom made/bespoke applications, Microsoft and desktop applications using a variety of industry tools

• To support networks, hardware and printers

• Actively employ, share and contribute to the company's knowledge base

Essential Skills / Experience:

• Good problem solving skills

• Excellent Trouble-shooting

• Good written and spoken communication skills

• Ability to work under your own initiative and as part of a large team

• Self-motivated and accurate
