Group Policy Management & Runtime Error

Hi all,

 

When I load up Group Policy Management i get the following error:

 

Microsoft Viaual C++ Runtime Library

 

Run time error!

 

program C:\windows\system32\mmc.exe

 

 

Any ideas of how to open Group Policy Managment or how to repair this?

You can perform a reinstall on the "Microsoft Group Policy Management Console with SP1" entry in add/remove programs.

removed and re-installed.

Your .NET runtime installation might be knackered. Have you tried reinstalling that?

Are you trying to run the MMC from a workstation or server?

 

And if you are using a static IP configuration, is the preferred DNS server set to the IP of your Domain Controller?
