Why why why why would they change the default reply button from "reply" to "reply all" all of a sudden.

There are accidental emails here there and everywhere.

I've seen that each user can manually change this in their settings which is a potch - any gurus have any idea if I can mandate this change across my 365?

I've had a look in the admin settings but can't find it.

I couldn't find anything either. I sent an E-Mail to all staff last week:

Changes made the web E-Mail service mean that the 'Reply' button now defaults to 'Reply all'

If you would prefer that the default was 'Reply' you will need to change the setting by clicking on the cog at the top right of the screen:

Then click 'Options' in the drop down menu. From there select 'Automatic processing/Reply settings' In there select the radio button next to 'Reply' and click 'Save'

And this ladies and gentlemen is the my main problem with everyone using "the cloud", someone in an office that hasn't been near a school in 10 years is making decisions that suddenly affect the day to day running of my school.

*sigh*

I had this reply back from Microsoft Today -

============

Hi Matt,

Hope you are well. As agreed, I’m following up on the case.

Since my last email, I’ve opened a design change request, it has been re-evaluated by our product engineering team and we believe most users are using the Reply All action. So the decision was made to leave it as it is, at least for the time being.

Good news is that we are working on exposing the feature through powershell, to make it easier for admins in changing the option for multiple users. It will be available this fall.

Regarding the EWS script, I would not go that route, given the additional work required compared with the powershell switch that is due to be released.

Please let me know you thoughts.

Yep, this is driving me mad!. I`ve sent out 2 emails in the last few days asking people to change this, but of course no one bothers reading them and then everyone gets pointless replies.

Its only a matter of time before someone balls it up!

Hope they sort a site wide fix soon!!
