Bypass Proxy on iPads

Hello, is there a way to bypass the proxy for local address on the ipads like you can do on windows? we have some software on the network that is web based but i cant access it on the ipad unless proxy is turned off. just wondering if i can have it turned on but with bypass like my windows machines

As far as I know you need to use the IP address and it will automatically bypass the proxy

You can use a Pac file in the proxy settings. In the Pac file, you can add exceptions.

We basically use the same Pac file on our iPads as in Windows.

If you host your pac file on a webserver (remembering to add the mime type!) internally or externally you just put the link to the file in the url section when you click 'Auto'

As the poster above said, you need to host a pac file on webserver and point the Auto option in Configurator at its URL, such as http://webserver/pacfile.pac
