Promethean board on and recognised, but not interactive

Hi,

 

We're having a problem with one of our boards where it is not interactive. The Promethean flame is lit up top left, and the board is recognised in ActivManager, but we are getting no response when we try and use the board with a pen. We have tried using a known-good pen and the result is the same.

 

I don't have a board name to hand, but it is an older model, pre-2010. We are using ActivDriver v5.9.

 

Any ideas?

Have you tried calibrating the board? I've seen similar issues and recalibrating the board has worked.

We haven't been able to calibrate the board, as it is not recognizing pens at all...

does the light change colour when you press the pen to it?

 

Have you tried a different USB cable?

Do you have a model number?

 

Sounds a bit obvious but is the flame white?

If it is red it is not connected.

Disconnect the USB cable and re-insert it. It should restart and establish a connection.

 

Also does the flame light change when the pen is brought near the board?

False alarm - the above WAS the case last week, but we're back now, some way or another!

No worries, it has been known to happen. The boards are connected but not connected.
