Free time lapse video software?

I've just been asked to knock together a 5-10 minute video of our new building construction that can be shown at the grand opening tomorrow. Cheers for the notice!

 

Anyway we have had a webcam recording but this is thousands and thousands of hours of video to go through which simply isn't going to happen, luckily the software has been taking a still image every 15 minutes so I just need to put those together into a speedy video

 

Any software that can do this free of charge?

Pretty sure you can do this with just Movie Maker. Import all the photos in, set the transition time to less than a second, make sure the photos are arranged in the right order then drag them all to the timeline.

search google for makeavi (current version is 0.110

It's free and very easy to use.

This really, don't need any specialised software. Just drag drop all your pictures into any video authoring software and set the time to like 0.033 (30fps). You will probably want to play around with the time.

 

Personally when I did one for our new build I did it in movie maker since it had all the features I needed, very easy.

I've used photolapse for this in the past, but like people said any video editing software can do it.

I used photolapse when I did ours, really easy to use, available from a number of places such as The Portable Freeware Collection - PhotoLapse (haven't checked the site, but the picture looked the same as the software I used!)

Thanks for all the suggestions, Movie Maker crashed and MakeAVI looked promising but did very weird things to the video for some reason during the process!

 

In the end we found a guide how to do it with VirtualDUB and this was a)fast and b)perfect for stitching together the 14,000 image files to get the timelapse video going in time for the grand opening and everyone was happy! Hurrah!
