Exchange 2013 Autodiscover

Hello,

I've set up an Exchange 2013 server and autodiscover doesn't seem to be working correctly.

I've set an internal DNS record to resolve autodiscover.PUBLICDOMAIN.co.uk to the local server.

 

The Outlook 2010 wizard finds the server, however gives me an error about not being able to connect to the exchange.

Unless I manually go into the settings on the client and select 'connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP' and set the proxy settings, it won't connect.

 

 

Can anyone advise on how to get autodiscover working?

Setting the auto discover record to point to the internal IP of your exchange server, and make sure that the internal and externL parameters autodiscover are correctly set on the server.

I was also reading something about needing to set permissions for autodiscover? When I navigate to the Autodisover.xml via a browser and type in my credentials I receive an error 500 relating to permissions.

Works fine externally! Just not internally...

Maybe the traffic is being intercepted/interfered with by your proxy. Try adding autodiscover.publicdomain.co.uk to the list of proxy exceptions used by your clients.

Hi, if you mean add it as an exception within (say) IE proxy settings, still doesn't work :/
