DalekSec Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 (edited) In the recent Sysadmin day I won the years subscription to https://lastpass.com/ , at first I was like I FINALLY WON SOMETHING IN MY LIFE! but after looking at the website I am afraid its not for me as luckily I am blessed with good memory! So instead of letting it go to waste I thought why not let someone else have it! In 100 words or less explain why you want it and it must include at least 1 Monty Python reference (extra points given for doctor who references). You have till 1PM Monday! Then I will pick my favourite! Good luck. Edited August 14, 2015 by elsiegee40
Edu-IT Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 Well, I could make use of this as my renewal reminder just came through. That's as good of a reason as any, right? I feel happy that you posted this topic.
Marshall_IT Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 I can't believe that you really don't want to use this. I now have a different password for everything, take them everywhere with me and have 2 factor authentication protecting it all. I think you should keep it!
mrnoisy Posted August 14, 2015 Posted August 14, 2015 We inherited a 54 page password document, that's a shed load of passwords to remember !
sparkeh Posted August 15, 2015 Posted August 15, 2015 I would like it as I use the free version and the paid features would be very handy. Here's my entry for the Python, Dr Who stuff, a cross over! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fA59ghHUzNQ
bmdixon Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I should get it because I am the Messiah.... No I'm not I'm a very naughty boy... or am I actually the Doctor? You'll never know as I can't remember.... that's why I need Lastpass so i don't have to waste the few brain cells I have left on remembering passwords. Plus I only have a few Shekels left... I do already have a Lastpass subscription so I agree with some of the others that you should keep it because it's awesome!
plexer Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I pay for the premium it's like $12 dollars a year or something I thought? even with the brain of Einstein I don't see how anyone could remember really long secure different passwords for every website they use alongside the secure storage of other notes as well accessible across all your devices. Ben
Arthur Posted August 17, 2015 Posted August 17, 2015 I am blessed with good memory! I don't know about you, but I have hundreds of usernames and passwords stored with LastPass. Every website has a unique password like "%ZY@69qjCHpT4qsAw9j7C*cR6qpFZaAj" so there's no way I would remember all of those without some form of password manager. Surely your memory can't be that good? Even Daleks have their limits.
DalekSec Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 I think someone else will have more use for it than me, as I don't have that many websites I use! I have a nice little way of creating passwords which are very secure (obviously not as much as '69qjCHpT4qsAw9j7C*cR6qpFZaAj', but secure none the less!). Also I have decided to pick my favourite's from here and will pick the winner at random. As I am rubbish at choosing! And daleks do have very good memory and can absorb the entire internet!
DalekSec Posted August 17, 2015 Author Posted August 17, 2015 Winner Winner Chicken Dinner, I used https://www.random.org/ to choose and it came up with!!! Sparkeh, I shall send you the code now. 2
