Hey guys,

I've got the Microsoft Surface 3 (Not the Pro version) and I'm currently on holiday, I loaded a bunch of stuff onto it like books and films to watch while I'm relaxing in the sun! Sorry to rub it in 😁

Though I'm having some issues, I think the device is overheating in the weather and turning itself off, it does get very hot to the touch but it's annoying as my other half's Samsung tablet isn't overheating.

It's running Windows 10 Pro and will just turn itself off after 10 minutes of use in the sun, so annoying. Does anyone know what I can try to do to use it in the sun?

I think it's pretty poor design that Microsoft want you to use it as a tablet but it so easily overheats 😞

Thanks in advance guys!

Or maybe it's heating up too quick? If you put it in a low oven for a couple of hours to warm it though, it may avoid the shock factor?

Haha Brilliant!! Kind of upset though as my girlfriends Samsung can be left outside in the sun all day and never has a problem! Ah well I can live with it... How often do i use it like that back home anyway, especially with our carppy weather!

More importantly... how can any self-respecting IT guy spend enough time outside to discover this problem?
