Is it possible to add information such as a student having a toilet pass to class registers so teachers are aware that the student has permission to leave if needed?

This can be done, but you have to think about it!

 

Using Tools / Setups / Attendance Setup / Module Setup a SIMS user can select from a dozen attributes to be displayed in the register, one of these attributes is "Quick Note". If selected then every child who has a Quick Note on their record will appear in the register with a black dot against their name. To view the content of the Quick Note the teacher needs to switch to Student Teacher View (a couple of clicks).

 

Thus, if you populate Quick Note with the toilet pass information you can, sort of, display it on registers.

 

If you go down this route you need to bear in mind:-

 

1 - Each SIMS user has to set their own register preferences, there is no "universal" setting

2 - If Quick Note is populated with any data it will show the black dot - if you overuse Quick Note this won't be much use to you.
