No all is good Got my OnePlus X Friday and I'm very impressed. I'm sure the Girlfriend will like it. Problem for me is that it doesn't like to connect to computers for some reason. I tried it on my MacBook first and tried to copy music over and it just kept disconnecting and the same story on my Windows rig. I got it done in the end but it was a bit of a pain! Apart from that solid and lovely looking phone especially for the price!

Arthur Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 OnePlus is offering refunds for its troublesome USB Type-C cables OnePlus has admitted that its USB Type-C cable is "using a resistor that may not be fully compatible with some third-party devices," and is now offering refunds for the accessory — but only if you purchased it separately. News of the faulty cable came to light after Google engineer Benson Leung tested it, and discovered that the OnePlus cable had the potential to damage devices from other manufactures by drawing too much power. "This may cause damage to whatever cable, hub, PC, or charger you plug into this," he explained. OnePlus now says that the problem is due to the resistor in the cable; it's using a 10kΩ resistor, instead of the 56kΩ that should be standard for Type-C. However, the cable is perfectly safe to use with the OnePlus 2 it comes bundled with, according to the company, so the refund only applies to those who purchased the cable on its own, with the intention to charge other devices. "If you're charging or transferring data to or from the OnePlus 2," the company says, "you should have no problems using the cable that shipped with your OnePlus 2 or the cables or adapters you bought separately on OnePlus.net." You can apply for a refund here, and OnePlus says that you have until 31st December to do so. "In the meantime, our team has already begun developing improved Type-C cables and adapters with 56kΩ resistors," the company notes.
