That comparison chart does not state that you cannot upgrade previous Enterprise to Education.

Microsoft have told me several times now (consultants) that you can upgrade from previous Enterprise to Education but it clearly is not working.

0800 9179016 - Call this number now if you want to speak to someone in English, cheeky buggers have swapped round menu's on the previous posted number and you now end up in India (no offense but we all love an Indian call center...)

I called and got told there's an ongoing issue specifically for the Desktop Education license. They're aware of it and trying to fix it.

What issue you got?

I have called them for 3 different schools now and simply said "I want Windows 10 Pro, Enterprise and Education with both KMS and MAK keys + The windows 2012 R2 Server Windows 10 KMS Host Key" and they've done it over the phone in 3 minutes.

I called a previously used number, 0800 0188354.

What specific options did you choose from your number, as none seem directly related to volume licensing queries, short of just picking the "all other problems" option?

I went through the licensing options for business and then the volume license issue, you end up speaking with someone in India, tell them you need to speak with a volume license support person and they put you through to them.

I called 0800 917 9016 (the number listed on VLSC for contact us) and chose option 2 and then option 3. This seems to be MS support, who will ask what the issue is, just say its the VLSC and they then transfer you to either the UK or somewhere in Europe. I got my windows 10 enterprise Key added this way and its where I logged the call about the missing downloads for windows 10.

Just called above number (options 4,1); they're looking into my keys and downloads :-) - YAY - thank you.

How do you guys get your LTSB key. I have a license for Education version, but don't like the watermark and the extra installed stuff that comes with it. Would like to get a LTSB license!

I have the MS education licence agreement and Enterprise comes with LTSB by default.

Just to say, its just appeared on our VLSC as well. And I've been checking sadly every couple of hours (bar sleeping hours) since Saturday so it looks like they are getting there slowly. Note i did raise a case through their email address a couple of days ago.

LTSB is not for designed for Education use. Clarification from Microsoft this morning. http://www.edugeek.net/forums/windows-10/157650-windows-10-education-vs-enterprise-response-ms.html

I was hoping to upgrade to the Education Edition, but it wouldn't allow me to upgrade from Windows 7 Enterprise without wipe/re-install, so did the upgrade to Windows 10 LTSB; at the end of the day, I just wanted to get it installed so I could play with 10. It will be a while before I even think about deploying it on mass.

Hum. So presumably those with the Desktop Education bundle are only getting Enterprise LTSB and Education (CB)? And on the assumption we don't mind the new features, controllable with WSUS etc., we should install Education.

Unless I'm missing something?
