Novalee Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Basically as above - I need a printer which is robust, but can store jobs so that confidential printing can be sent to a central machine. A step down from a photocopier really. Does anyone have something like this? Thanks.
MatthewL Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 Sharp do the C301W which is a desktop machine but make sure you get it with the hard drive otherwise it won't be able to store jobs. Other option is look at something like PaperCut you can hold jobs to desktop printers but storing them till they are released.
witch Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 I think Ricoh do one as we recently bought from them - we bought a copier/printer in the end but I am sure they told us about a printer with the hold function - this is done by modifying the driver anyway
MatthewL Posted July 10, 2015 Posted July 10, 2015 You want to be looking for job retention, alot of drivers you cannot do this on mass but Sharp have a printing policy box which holds all jobs to said device without the user needing to do anything and the Sharp MFDs (certainly the bigger ones) have a slight bug/feature that makes this work like a dream too. Not tried it on the smaller machines yet.
