Single sign in for teachers - anyone help?

With obvious security restrictions is it possible to setup teachers with a single sign in? Not necessarily SIMs but I'm thinking the myriad of websites that teachers use e.g. behaviourwatch, subscription websites like echalk, nearpod, etc. Will something like 1Password do the job?

 

Any guidance gratefully received. Apologies if this has been answered elsewhere but I couldn't find it.

It's all down to the website, really, on whether you'll get true single sign on.

Use the operating system login, then login to Chrome. You only need to do this once, but once it is done it will save and sync passwords between machines.

Not a true SSO but it is very effective.

Not free but the YouID product from Impero will do what you need. We don't use it so I can't tell you costs, how good it is etc.

Saw a product I really like the look of at E2BN called http://airhead.io Was also an award winner at BETT, although I missed it there. I think it matches what you've asked for pretty closely. The part I think would fit your need is the launchpad. It's essentially a web page with icons/tiles. They can just be links, but you can also use it like to store passwords (encrypted) so that when you clock the link it both launched the web site and logs you in.

Increasingly third party sites can make use of AD / AzureAD/ Office365 with a sync to sims to get metadata not held in AD. Might be worth asking them, and including it as a requirement on new services procured?
