Cor, when I was 27, I was programming Unix boxes for solicitors with green screen monitors and line printers..sigh...

 

I was working as a for a big international insurer proving technical support for DB2 database systems on IBM mainframe. On call, nights, weekends... paid well, but I'm glad I am not doing those hours now!

When I was 27 I was married to a submariner and stay home mum. Was great because when the lads were little I could do fun things with them. Computers were in my very distant future. I would not change a thing though as those years you never get back.

Ha. I get that. A friend of mine runs rock/rave nights all over the country, and he does one in the centre of the next town, and keeps inviting me. But he does these on a Thursday. He does Liverpool, Wigan, etc, so there's one each day of the week, and near me is on Thursday. Every time I'm like "Dude, no, I work Fridays!" xD

Yeah - the money seemed really good in those days, don't think I've been that well off since - though I suppose a mortgage and child might have something to do with that!
