I have an issue on pfsense that I have upgrdaed but not my Unifi controller does not work.

I set it up following these instruction Rob Peck : Installing the Ubiquiti UniFi Controller Software on pfSense 2.2. After the upgrade it stopped working so I tried to reinstall it but when I unzip the unifi installer I get

unzip: skipping non-regular entry 'UniFi/bin/mongod'

Also running /usr/local/etc/rc.d/mongod onestart i get this error message

/usr/local/etc/rc.d/mongod: WARNING: failed to start mongod

I have reinstalled mongodb but it tell me that a group and user mongodb will be reused.

Why did it have to break at an upgrade I don not know.

Check the logs for mongod itself, can't rmemeber off the top of my head where they are. I have seen this when the ports that mongod wanted were taken, and also when the database was too big for mongod to address (32 bit version)

I upgraded from pfsense 2.2.2 to 2.2.3 nothing else was installed but I do have two packages not being used that could be uninstalled. Don't get why the unzipped cant over write it.

Did you check the logs for mongod itself?

There is two logs the unifi one, that will tell you that there is a mongod problem and then the mongod log itself which will telly uo what the mongod problem is.
