Edu-IT Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Has anyone ever come across the situation whereby in Word, you can choose to print page 2 to 4, of a 10 page document for example, and it just doesn't print? Or, choosing to print a single page by typing in the page number results in Word wanting to print the whole document?
spadam Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Yes.. We had an issue a few years ago when using XP where printing page ranges wasn't working. I'm pretty sure that we resolved it by changing the print driver.
Steve21 Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 If it's stuff like SIMs report/mailmerge might want to read this: http://www.edugeek.net/forums/enterprise-software/154519-papercut-print-job-notification-not-appearing-if.html#post1324520 Steve 1
jamesfed Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Saw this a few times myself - don't ever recall a true fix but converting to PDF and then printing the pages of the PDF seemed to work fine.

I'll give that a whirl. What does the S do? Is this a Word bug, or, a PaperCut issue?
Steve21 Posted June 29, 2015 Posted June 29, 2015 Perfect! I'll give that a whirl. What does the S do? Is this a Word bug, or, a PaperCut issue? Neither When you use page breaks in a Word document it turns them into Sections (s) not pages, so trying to print page 4-10 won't work as page 4-10 doesn't exist. It's page 1 (section 1), page 1 (section 2), page 1 (section 3) etc. Asking it to print with s on the front asks it to print the sections not the pages. E.g. You could have 1 section that's 4 pages (Normally SIMs report isn't though) Steve
