Marksheets, comment aspect character limit

Hi,

 

Would you be able to tell me how to set a character limit in the mark sheets where an aspect is set as 'comment'? We use the mark sheet for entering teachers comments for reports, and they have started to waffle, so wondered if it would be possible to sharpen their focus at all? If it is not possible to specify a character limit, does anyone know what the current limit is?

1000 characters. I don't think it can be limited. At best you can restrict the printing area on the report and tell them it won't print, but it won't stop them waffling.

Thank you Vikpaw. I have passed the message on, so its up to my reports manager to decide a suitable punishment for wafflers

The punishment is truncation and having to explain to the HoD/parents why the report is not complete!

Comment type Aspects are a SIMS thing. I hope I presumed right. On Engage I've upped the range to 1500 words but am considering reducing it.
