manick Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 (edited) Hi all, OK I have a Windows 8.1 Pro device and want to set up an account that is linked into an Office 365 federated account. Can I do this? so far I can't and want to know if it is actually possible. At present when I try to set the account up, it creates a brand new Microsoft Account with a duplicated email address. Don__1 Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I installed the OneDrive app and didn't use the Onedrive that ships with 8.1.
manick Posted June 18, 2015 Author Posted June 18, 2015 Yes I've done that, but the problem still exists in that the email only links in with the newly created MS OneDrive account and not the school account. Cheers Nick
dubsdj Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 You need to use oneDrive for business which ships with office 2013 as far as I'm aware. You can then sync folders from you OneDrive for business account. A word of warning though, if you are using roaming profiles and users move around the school then stay away from that as it will drag all those files with them unless you specify not to replicate them in the users profile. Currently I only allow fixed office users to sync folders with oneDrive for business.
Don__1 Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Should have mentioned that. I used the Office 2013 standalone version on a system with Office 2010 already installed. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2903984
