Laptop Keyboad: Toshiba Satellite Pro R50-B-12B

Just had a phone call from our SEN Deparment saying that key have fallen off the laptops? (more like picked off im guessing)

 

Anyone have ideas on where i can get a keyboard from? Not having much luck with amazon searches atm.

I have loads of spare keyboards i keep for keys. If you have a decent photo i'll see if i have one i can send. If not ebay for single keys. It works out much cheaper than a whole keyboard.

Obviously both those websites are probably list prices (who knows what they actually charge you). But charging £60 for a keyboard for a laptop is shocking when they can be got from eBay etc for less then £10.

 

I know that a lot of schools won't allow eBay use but surely you could petty cash buying it from there and saving the school nearly £50 (on face value).

I just done this with a IBM T43 keyboard. Silly money on amazon and other places. Ebay was £14. Spoke to finance department and they are alright with it,

I do ebay purchases on expenses, but sometimes not even ebay has an item I need... I have a very particular type of HP DM1 and no-one on ebay sells a keyboard for it, I can get a euro keyboard, or a US, but not a UK. Notebook repair were the only people who had any. (I needed 12 of them) they marked them down from £34 to £26.50 each which was comparable with £24.99 for the (albeit wrong model number) ebay ones. Yhey only had 9 on the shelf, and sent them DPD the same day for next day delivery, the balance of the order turned up a week later on Fedex from somewhere in the Netherlands. As far as I can tell they are genuine as well!

Take the keyboard off and get the part number from the back of it. Put part number into ebay and tick 'Include description' in search bar. You'll probably find it's a part used for many models and possibly different makes of laptop too.
