newpersn Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 We are looking at sticking a TV in our reception with a computer attached. I have been playing with Xibo but seems a little over computed for the average user. Other than powerpoint is there any easy to use software that can do what we want?
NB9457 Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Chrome based signage? Rise vision, wonder sign app player?
gshaw Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 We use our Planet eStream system for signage and it's awesome, does cost though. This always looked interesting, has a free Open Source Edition too... https://www.screenlyapp.com/
SovietRussia Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 xibo - I will agree very powerful for a very simple job!
evansross Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I used FREE Digital Signage for everyone. Works great and it's FREE.
nelliott Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 i've used amx in the past linked with an exterity solution to broadcast freeview channels as udp streams.
thebatman Posted June 17, 2015 Posted June 17, 2015 I know you have said other than MS PowerPoint, but we use ShowPoint to keep an eye on a folder that is saved on a shared area. Our office staff update the PowerPoint when it needed witch auto updates the screen with no need for interaction. The PC auto boots in the morning and a script shuts it down in the evening. 1
