Digital Signage - Software?

We are looking at sticking a TV in our reception with a computer attached.

 

I have been playing with Xibo but seems a little over computed for the average user.

 

Other than powerpoint is there any easy to use software that can do what we want?

We use our Planet eStream system for signage and it's awesome, does cost though.

I used FREE Digital Signage for everyone.

 

Works great and it's FREE.

i've used amx in the past linked with an exterity solution to broadcast freeview channels as udp streams.

I know you have said other than MS PowerPoint, but we use ShowPoint to keep an eye on a folder that is saved on a shared area. Our office staff update the PowerPoint when it needed witch auto updates the screen with no need for interaction.

The PC auto boots in the morning and a script shuts it down in the evening.
