AQA Website is NOT IE Compatible!

We have both IE and Chrome installed here, IE can be buggy, very very buggy at times, just generally slow to load up pages and general surfing. I have recently setup GAFE alongside O365 (with gmail disabled) and even O365 seems to work better in it.

 

Students will generally choose to use chrome (unless they are using Metro or Listos, which die off this summer, as they only work in IE) and the majority of staff prefer chrome too.

I was figuratively speaking from our schools perspective as we have had no problems with IE so why change something which has worked well all these years for us?

 

Just because of lazy developers wanting to kill it off, I know what you can do with Chrome have had it installed and tested but believe me it is hard work trying to get staff to think for themselves let alone introduce another web browser to totally confuse them (It doesn't take much even when we have regular IT surgery's for them to enhance their personal learning).

lol no I didn't think you did. Indeed; we are almost entirely in agreement. We've stuck to chrome for the same reason you stuck to IE - but we get to use Chromebooks, their extensions and AQA :-)

Thanks for that @bossman, it turns out tweaking my print spooler settings fixed the issue!? My exams officer was told by a 3rd party technical support that it was not supported and I needed Chrome so I didn't look further into troubleshooting! I should know better and start problem solving my self from the beginning...
