network41 Posted June 3, 2015 Posted June 3, 2015 HI Does anyone know wher I can get a powered (UK) 24 port USB Hub
LincolnE Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 If you need it powered for charging devices, be prepared to spend more than expected amounts of money. For example, a Datamotion DS-SC-U32 is a 32 port USB charging station, that provides 2.1a per port. This is up for sale at around $1200-1300 over in the US. (Can't find any UK distributors, however). 1
network41 Posted June 4, 2015 Author Posted June 4, 2015 Don't really know if it needs to be powered , its to be used for setting up a load of iPads . As you said UK distributors are hard to find, but many thanks for the info and time
GuyJD Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 (edited) At BETT a couple of years ago Lapcabby were promoting a sync and charge ipad trolley that had a USB hub in it, they said at the time that you would be able to buy the hub separately, So we immediately thought that we could retrofit it to our existing trolley, 2 years later we are still waiting for it to be available. I guess they changed their mind when they realised people would just buy the hub instead of buying a whole new trolley. Edited June 4, 2015 by GuyJD I can't keyboard good! 1

GuyJD Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 That must be a new addition to the site because I'm sure it wasn't there last time I checked

TLARWise Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Amazon Marketplace have one for £74.92 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Monoprice-24-Port-Usb-2-0-Adapter/dp/B003WPDICM). I have no experience with it so have no idea how well it will work for your uses but it appears to have fairly decent reviews based on the Amazon US site (Amazon.com: 24-Port USB 2.0 HUB w/ AC Adapter: Computers & Accessories) 1
network41 Posted June 4, 2015 Author Posted June 4, 2015 Just got quote for the Boost+ £498 FFS. That won't be happening but might have solved the problem with this | RS USB 2.0 Hub, 13 Ports |
TLARWise Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Just got quote for the Boost+ £498 FFS. That won't be happening but might have solved the problem with this | RS USB 2.0 Hub, 13 Ports | That same model is also available from CPC at a cheaper price (PSG90293 - PRO SIGNAL - HUB, USB 2.0, 13 PORT | CPC UK) 1
