bewlay51 Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Hi - Has anyone had any dealing with XMA. Home Just got a quote for PC's and they are cheaper then Stone. They appear use Viglen as a source of PC hardware. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any experience - good or bad. Are they a company you would recommend?
has Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Hi @bewlay51 We buy our ICT hardware from XMA for the last couple of years. Haven't really had any issues. Good customer service and support. Their prices are usually pretty decent.
bewlay51 Posted May 28, 2015 Author Posted May 28, 2015 Hi - thanks for the reply - Just got a quote for i5 computers - they are about £40 cheaper then Stone. I have not dealt with them before and was just wondering if the kit and support is ok before taking the jump !!
has Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Is it HP's? Thats what we recently bought and their pretty good machines.
bewlay51 Posted May 28, 2015 Author Posted May 28, 2015 Its a Genie with VIG690M Motherboard, Intel Core i5 Processor i5-4460, 3.20GHz, Quad Core. with 6MB Cache, 4Gb RAM, 500GB HDD Small form factor desktop case. I'm just trying to get a decent 21.5 inch monitor included with HDMI connection as well.
has Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 If its less than £300 then i think its a pretty good price. Also does it include warranty?
pantscat Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 I've used XMA in the past and they've been fine as a box shifter. The Viglen hardware offers good value, but they aren't as well built as HP or Lenovo boxes.
localzuk Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 We used Viglen for a while, good machines and good service. They've been beaten hands down by @VeryPC lately though, as have HP. 1
bewlay51 Posted May 28, 2015 Author Posted May 28, 2015 Just over £345 with 21.5 inch screen and 5 year on-site cover. I think the price is good. Just waiting to see quotes from Misco, BT Direct who, I think, are quoting Dell.
synaesthesia Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Hardware doesn't appear too bad, however we've had terrible service from them recently which stops us ever using them again; promising products at a price they can't deliver on, and then finally delivering them under duress 3 months later.

SuperChris1980 Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 Hi If you let me know the specs I'm happy to have a look at the quote and see what I can do? Kind regards
Achandler Posted June 4, 2019 Posted June 4, 2019 I reckon he might have bought computers already, it was 4 years ago...
