Guest Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Yeh, will I need to take a big bag with me tomorrow?
Dos_Box Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 A big bag would be good. My feet hurt and I'm thirsty (It's 4 quid for a pack of sandwiches FFS!!. Bring your own food), and tired. Still, I've met up with Russ, Tony, Stewert Knight and am on the look out for many others. I also..wait for it..have a copy of Microsofts LEarning Network Manager (YAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAY). It is not publicly available, but Microsoft have allowed EduGeek a copy for our distribution and support. Just Don't cry to M$ if things go wrong. Wait out for further details on how thpo get this holy of holies and why they don't let mere mortals obtain copies.
wesleyw Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 Cool you lucky bugger! So are you gonna do an in-depth test and then a review? Or just send it out to the Edugeek faithful? lol Wes
russdev Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 what we probably will do is give you list of people to contact who can supply a copy due to bandwidth if we uploaded it.... dont worry you will all get a chance to get a copy Russ

ajbritton Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 It looks like there is a copy of WinPE in LNM!
GrumbleDook Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 I am waiting for my copy from DB ... Must try and get it off him tomorrow. SysMan_UK: I am meeting with M$ around 11 ... I will try and get a few more copies if you can host one ...
ajbritton Posted January 11, 2006 Posted January 11, 2006 I'm doing an LNM server install now in Virtual PC. It looks quite slick so far...

Would you be able to send me a copy if i paid postage etc? Regards, Ross They let me have a copy of it because I... a. Waved the flyer that they have made increadibly hard to obtain in their face ensuring that I made it quite clear I knew all about the product. b. They thought EduGeek is worthy of having it distributed amongst it's members. c. We will support it amongst ourselves, as Microsoft do not support it in any way shape or form. You should all be able to get a copy by the middle of next week. For several others they will be mailed a copy tomorrow (hopefully)
_Rob_ Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 This is an excellent development... I would relish the opportunity to see Microsoft's LNM Good on you DB!

RobC Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Another offer here for hosting it. I've got plenty of space going spare that I never use & quite a lot of bandwidth. RobC
Geoff Posted January 12, 2006 Posted January 12, 2006 Yep, I also have a webserver with bandwidth and diskspace to burn.
