[ms office - 2013] Do we need Office 2013 Tools?

I am just going through the customisation tool to setup office for deployment.

 

I am not deploying ;

 

OneNote,

Onedrive for Business

InfoPath

Lync

 

 

I am not sure about Office tools.

Which bits in there do I need for a typical secondary school install? We don't use Office365 as we are GAFE.

 

when I do a test deployment with Tools included I get the following in the start menu under Office Tools;

 

Database Compare 2013

Office 2013 Language Preferences

Office 2013 Upload Center

Telemetry Dashboard for Office 2013

Telemetry Log for Office 2013

We deploy the picture editor from the office 2010 tools with our 2013 install but we install the .net bits, graph, language settings, equation editor and OCR bits from the 2013 tools as well. I'm afraid to say that I have no idea if anyone uses those bits but they looked potentially useful.

From the looks of it, we have everything installed from Office 2013... [Yet another thing I'm possibly going to have to sort out]

 

 

From what I can see, though, all we need is Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

 

We're a Primary school though, so your YMMV.

When working in education, I installed the tools by default because of the fact that there are some softwares that may require it, was worthwhile doing.
