HELP NEEDED: DAP Audio wireless microphone

Hello, I am trying to wirelessly connect this DAP Audio microphone to my audio system but i cannot get it to connect. I have the receivers set to channel 1 and 2 but even then it does not seem to pick up the microphones. If anyone knows what I am doing wrong or has used these microphones before any help would be much appreciated.

The pack should be set to Ch1 using the rotary thingy on the front and a small screwdriver, the reciever should be set to the same channel and they should see one another. It is possible that their is interference and that you may need to click up the channels one at a time until you find the one that is best.

 

If you can provide any pictures of the recievers that would also be helpful.

We also have these 2 mics set up too channels 1 & 2 but these were turned off once when trying to connect the DAP Mic

 

also have tried changing the channels with the screwdriver but it did not pick it up on any of them, thanks for the reply

Have you used the DAP audio mic before or is this the first time? Sometimes different vendors use different frequencies on different channels. In some cases frequencies are so different they can't be used together.

You look to have three microphones (2 handheld and one beltpack) from three different brands, and two receivers from yet another different brand (something Chinese?).

 

The DAB microphone has its frequency range printed on it which is blurred, but based on the age of it, it should either be somewhere around 175 (VHF) or 864 (UHF). (It's not new enough for the recent license changes which could put it in the 500 or 600's.) The blurred writing appears to begin with an 8 rather than a 1, which suggests it is UHF. Each channel on the screwdriver will relate to a different frequency around those areas.

 

The receivers and other mics will also be VHF or UHF but we can't tell from looking at them

 

You need to find if there's a common frequency between whatever the channels on the microphones are, and the channels on the receivers - which involves setting channel 1 on the receiver, then trying each channel sequentially on the microphone, then repeating channel 2, 3, 4.... on the receiver until you find a match. But even if you do, some manufacturers include technology to detect if it's their device or someone else's, so still might not work even if you hit the right frequencies.

I can't make out the text on the receivers, but I'm guessing those 4 LEDs in the middle give you an audio strength readout, and one of the other LEDs is probably a "connected" indicator. If you turn the mic on and no signal appears on the receiver, and you've tried changing the channels and checked the batteries are okay, then probably your mics are simply not going to connect to your receivers - they are from different manufacturers.

 

This doesn't help you much fix your current issue, but if you're thinking of buying new mics I can recommend the Chord sets:

Not the fanciest of mics, but you do get 4 channels and a compact all-in-one rack-mount receiver, and the equipment has proven to be robust enough in the last couple of years of assorted school productions, being used by both small children and adults.

We wound up buying two sets - one with all headsets, one with all handheld mics, and you can swap between sets, although you can only use 4 devices (one per channel) at any one time.

@OP - I've just had to return one of these for the same reason, DAP replaced the receiver and microphone.

Ok... those recievers are Trantec. They won't connect to anything except the one Trantec handheld. I'm not sure where you've acquired this mishmash of gear from, but the chances of it working together are pretty slim.
